Hashimoto's thyroiditis, recorded

A private diary for Hashimoto's thyroiditis.

Papilio records how you feel each day, keeps every lab result in one place, and tracks your levothyroxine dose history — so you walk into your next appointment with a record instead of a memory. It never decides that a day was good or a number was high. It writes down what you reported, exactly as you reported it.

  • Up to 8 daily symptoms on a 0–10 scale, plus a note for the day.
  • Lab results kept in the exact unit you entered them in — permanently.
  • Levothyroxine dose changes, with the date each one started.
  • One timeline putting symptoms, labs and doses on the same axis.

From scattered notes to one record

Symptoms live in your memory, lab PDFs live in email, and dose changes live wherever you happened to write them down. By the time you're in front of your endocrinologist, most of it is gone.

Problem

Nothing lines up in one place.

Symptoms, lab values and dose changes end up in different apps — or nowhere at all — so patterns you could describe to a doctor never get written down.

Solution

One diary, one timeline, one PDF.

Log a day in under 30 seconds, add a lab result when it arrives, and see everything lined up on one timeline whenever you need it.

Your units, exactly as entered

Most trackers silently convert lab values and lose the original. Papilio stores every value in the unit it was entered in and never rewrites it — you can still choose a separate display unit to compare results from labs that report differently.

Core features

Everything is built around one job: keeping an accurate record.

Daily diary

  • Up to 8 symptoms, tracked on a 0–10 scale.
  • A free-text note for anything else worth recording.
  • Under 30 seconds to log a day.

Lab results

  • TSH, fT4, fT3, TPO and Tg antibodies, TRAb, ferritin, vitamin D, B12.
  • The reference range printed on your own report, stored per entry.
  • Original unit kept forever; a display unit is a separate choice.

Dose history

  • Levothyroxine dose changes, with the date each one started.
  • A place for your own note on what changed and why.
  • Lines up with symptoms and labs on the same timeline.

One timeline

  • Symptoms, lab values and dose changes on one axis.
  • 30, 90, 180-day and 1-year ranges.
  • A reference band only when it can't mislead — never a guess.

Medication reminder

  • One daily local notification, scheduled on your device.
  • Nothing about the reminder is sent anywhere.
  • Turn it on or off, and pick the time, in Settings.

Export & backup

  • Export everything as JSON or CSV, any time, for free.
  • Restore from your own JSON backup — merge or replace.
  • Erase everything from the device in one step.

What Papilio does — and doesn't

  • Generate a PDF summary for a period you choose (Papilio Pro).
Not included
  • No interpretation — Papilio never calls a value high or a day good.
  • No trigger, correlation or cause-and-effect analysis.
  • No dosing suggestions or treatment advice of any kind.

FAQ

Does Papilio tell me if a value is good or bad?

No. Papilio shows whether a value sits below, within or above the reference range stored with that exact entry — it never says a day was good, a number was high, or that anything is improving.

My lab uses different units than the app suggests. What happens?

You choose the unit for every result you enter, and the selector is always visible. The value you type is stored in that exact unit, permanently — Papilio never converts it on save.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no account and no sign-up. Your entries are stored in one database on your device.

What does Papilio Pro add?

Papilio Pro unlocks the PDF report: a summary table and timeline chart for a date range you choose, with the disclaimer printed on every page. Recording, editing, exporting and restoring your data stay free either way.

Is this a medical device?

No. Papilio is a record-keeping tool. It does not provide medical assessment, diagnosis or treatment advice. Talk to your doctor about your results.
