Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 27, 2026

WortJagd ("WortJagd", "we", "us") is a daily German vocabulary game. It works without an account: your progress, streaks, word list and settings are stored on your device. This policy explains the small amount of data that does leave your device, why, and what you can do about it.

Data controller

WortJagd is published by Mendi Tekstilwaren / Dilara Demir Caglar, Fauststrasse 44a, 81827 München, Germany. Contact: support@qrodesk.com.

No account

WortJagd has no sign-up or login. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or any other contact details inside the app.

Data stored on your device

Category Examples
Learning progress Daily puzzle results, scores, personal bests, streaks, the 30-day calendar, and the review schedule for each word.
Profile choices Your track (everyday, profession or mixed), chosen profession, CEFR level and app language.
Settings Sound on or off, reminder hour, light or dark mode.

This data is not uploaded to us. It is removed when you delete the app. Depending on your device settings it may be included in your own iCloud or Google device backup, which is governed by Apple's or Google's terms.

Anonymous usage analytics

To understand which features are used and where the app can be improved, WortJagd sends a small, fixed set of usage events to PostHog, hosted in the European Union. Examples: the app was opened, a puzzle was started or finished (with score, number of mistakes and duration), the track or profession was changed, the paywall was viewed, a reminder was turned on, or a streak ended.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the app (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You may object at any time by contacting us.

Subscriptions and purchases

WortJagd Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Payments are processed entirely by Apple or Google; we never see your payment details.

To check whether your subscription is active and to restore purchases, the app uses RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID, your purchase receipts and subscription status, and basic device information. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

Reminders

If you turn on the daily reminder, it is scheduled as a local notification on your device. No push token is sent to us, and you can turn the reminder off in Settings or in your system settings at any time.

Feedback emails

If you use the feedback button in Settings, your mail app opens a message to support@qrodesk.com. It is prefilled with the app version and your platform (iOS or Android) to help us answer. We use what you send only to reply to you, and keep it only as long as needed for that.
